Flirty Fishnets

I'm in a bit of a Konad mood lately.  I even took off my polka dots (which I LOVED) because I wanted a new pattern on my nails ... now.  Yes I'm a little impatient :-)  Below is OPI Tutti Fruity Tonga stamped with Konad plate m57.  I think I might do a black tip on them tomorrow, I'll let you know how that goes.

Polka Dots in Purple

About a year ago I came across Chloe's Nails.  She's got some great ideas and tutorials, love it!  This is where I was introduced to Konad nail stamping system.  I think it was about 20 minutes between when I first saw it to when I made my first order.  This manicure uses the polka dot pattern on the m79 plate.  This makes me happy.

UPDATE:  Been getting a lot of questions about Konad.  Check out their website here.  If you want to see it in action, check out this youtube video.

I don't know what the name of this shade is, it's not on the bottle anymore

OPI Gargantuan Green Grape ... with some abstract cherry blossoms

Okay, let me start by saying that I don't know how much I like this look.  Close up it looks a little messy and the colour of green is not the greatest on my skin.  But I thought I'd show you anyway so that maybe you can see if this colour is right for you or not.  I found that this particular formulation was really thin, it took 4 coats of green to make it look like this and I think I actually would have been more comfortable with one more.  Maybe in the summer I will warm up to this colour, but right now, not loving it. The bottom is OPI Gargantuan Green Grape, the branches are OPI You Don't Know Jacques, the pink flowers are Sally Hansen Insta-Dry Lively Lilac, and the white is a random one I had around.

OPI Unfor-greta-bly blue .. and gold

This manicure was the whole reason I bought magnetic striping tape in the first place. Three coats of OPI Unfor-Greta-bly Blue, then the gold striping tape followed by two coats of Seche Vite.  Last time I used the striping tape it started to peel after about 2-3 days, I hope this one lasts longer, because I'm already pretty attached to it.

UPDATE:  I did this on Sunday ... It's now Friday and there's no chip in sight!  I did a quick touch-up of my top coat on Tuesday and it's going strong. I find myself waiting for it to chip so I can do something new!

OPI Tickle My France-y

I've been looking for a good nude tone on my skin. Most nudes look white or light beige on me so I was thrilled when I found Tickle my France-y by OPI.  It's a nice dusty pink that comes off as a nude on darker skin.  Definitely my new fave!

The sparkle coat on my ring finger is Essie - Shine of the Times.

OPI No Room For The Blues

Another one of the polishes I bought during my online obsession.  This is a great summer colour!  OPI - No room for the blues

Wooden shoe like to know?

This is OPI Wooden shoe like to know.  I bought it in a bit of a nail polish buying frenzy on beyondtherack.com.  It is just gorgeous!  A rich milky brown with subtle gold flecks.  A quick favourite!  This is three coats of WSLTK with two coats of Seche Vite top coat.

Playing with striping tape

SPARKLES!!!!  Was that too excited ?!?  I love anything sparkly and OPI My Private Jet is a nice way to do it for the winter.  It's a holographic nail polish at heart with a dark grey almost black base.  I jazzed it up even more with some metallic striping tape (you can buy the tape off etsy or ebay for a couple of bucks)
